Customs seizes Rs 10 crore in hidden diamonds

Mumbai Customs officials seized undeclared diamonds, precious gemstones and jewellery worth Rs 10 crore concealed inside an export consignment at BKC. The items were hidden beneath a false layer in the shipment.

The export company had declared a cargo of 61.98 carats of lab-grown diamonds valued at USD 5,454. A thorough examination revealed a secret chamber containing high-value natural diamonds and jewellery valued at Rs 10 crore.
