Engineering goods exports grow despite US tariffs

Engineering goods make up 27-28% of India’s total exports and 40% of manufactured goods. Despite this, they are not as visible as other sectors because they cover a wide range of products.

Engineering goods exports to the US grew by 15.5% to $9.97 billion between April and August this year. This happened even after a 50% additional tariff was imposed on some products.
