India extends textile scheme to 2033-34

The fourth round of the textile scheme aims to boost domestic manufacturing of man-made fibre apparel, fabrics and technical textiles, attract investments, create jobs and strengthen India's position in global textile value chains.

The scheme's tenure has been extended until fiscal year 2033-34 for companies approved in the fourth round. The government also seeks to use free trade agreements to expand exports of textiles and apparel to more partner countries.
