India leads global rice exports

India is the world's largest rice exporter and plays a major role in global food security, according to industry leaders, exporters and agri-experts.

Logistics challenges remain a key issue, but joint efforts by the government and industry are helping keep exports smooth. India's share in global rice exports is about 40 per cent.
