Small cardamom prices rise as auctions show strong demand

Small cardamom auction prices in India rose this week due to strong buying interest, while large cardamom markets stayed stable. Auctions handled over 1.14 lakh kilograms of small cardamom, showing high participation despite high prices.

Large cardamom prices remained steady in eastern trading centres, with Badadana and Chotadana varieties quoted between Rs 1,375 and Rs 1,806 per kilogram. The gap between small and large cardamom prices continues to show the higher value of small cardamom in both domestic and international markets.
