UK-India trade deal lowers tariffs on some goods

The UK-India trade deal, signed on 24 July 2025 and effective from 15 July 2026, makes 99% of Indian goods entering the UK duty free or on reduced tariffs. Some tariff cuts are phased in over years.

The deal locks in zero rates for some spices and plant extracts already in place. Other goods, especially processed and value-added products, face phased reductions. Importers must check the exact HS code for their product to know the rate.
