US tariff changes affect Indian seafood exports
US President Donald Trump signed an order waiving tariffs of up to 100% on goods imported from the five largest purchasers of Russian oil or gas, including India. The change came after earlier threats of high tariffs on Indian seafood exports linked to Russia oil purchases.
Indian seafood exporters faced uncertainty due to shifting US trade policies. They responded by diversifying exports to the EU, China, and other markets, helping maintain overall export levels despite a drop in US shipments.
